The CGS Tool HV143-3126 has a 5/16” diameter, 4 flute solid carbide corner radius end mill made for high performance cutting in steels and alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series so, you get this solid strength, fast production speed, and sharp precision for both roughing , and the finishing kind of work.
Built using premium micro grain carbide, the HV143-3126 has a variable helix, plus a variable index geometry, and then an ALTiN coating that helps a lot with heat resistance, and better tool life when you’re running high RPM. The free cutting design kinda helps with smoother surface results and better chip evacuation, while also keeping chatter and wear down a bit, so machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without losing accuracy or that tight dimensional control.
