Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV240-1250 has a 1/8” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide square end mill, built for high-performance machining in steels and alloys. It’s made to sit inside the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and it aims for that extra bite of strength, speed, and precision whether you’re doing roughing or the more delicate finishing work
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV240-1250 uses a variable helix plus a variable index geometry, and there’s an ALTiN coating on it, so you get strong heat resistance and longer tool life even when the RPM climbs. The free-cutting style helps with surface finish too; it supports better chip evacuation, and it helps dampen chatter, vibration, and wear, which means machinists can nudge feeds and speeds higher without losing accuracy or that tight dimensional control you actually want.
