Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV240-7500 is a 3/4" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill built for shops running tougher materials at higher feed rates without wanting the harmonics that usually come with it. It belongs to the Hi-Velocity HV240 Series, CGS Tool's variable helix square end line made for demanding, higher-throughput machining.
The variable helix and offset indexing break up the vibration pattern that would otherwise build into chatter on a straight-flute tool, and the ALTiN coating helps the edge hold up at the higher speeds this design is meant to run at. Solid carbide throughout, the HV240-7500 is rated for steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, alloys, Inconel, and select non-ferrous materials.
