Product Overview
The CGS Tool HVM143-160 has a 16mm diameter, 4-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill made for high-performance cutting in steels and alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and it sort of hits that balance of strength, speed,and real accuracy, so it works nicely for both roughing and finishing jobs, even when conditions get a bit aggressive.
Made from high-grade micro-grain carbide, the HVM143-160 runs with a variable helix plus variable index geometry, and then an ALTiN coating on top, so it handles heat resistance and tool life better, especially at higher RPM. The free-cutting style helps with surface quality and chip removal too, and it also keeps vibration and wear in check ,so machinists can drive feeds and speeds further without losing precision.
