So the CGS Tool 240-0938-ALTiN is f a 3/32" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill, made for that fine general purpose milling thing. It’s useful for small slots , lighter plunge cuts, and also for getting clean flat bottom details, when you need it.
The ALTiN coating helps with heat and abrasion resistance during the more demanding cutting moments, and with a 3/16" length of cut, plus 1-1/2" overall length, and a 30° helix. This 240 Series cutter gives pretty controlled square-end results, especially in smaller CNC features across mild steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non ferrous metals, plastics, and composites.
