Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2512-S has a 5/16” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It is made for maximum material removal but also solid surface precision in aluminum, non ferrous metals, and plastics. It comes from the Ferocious Series, so it’s kind of aimed at machinists who want top end performance, even when they run those extreme feed rates.
Made with premium sub-micro grain carbide, the 2512-S has a 55° high helix that helps with superior chip evacuation, lower cutting forces, and that strong surface finishing you usually chase. The polished cutting edges plus a free-cutting geometry help reduce built up edges, while it still keeps a really good tool life , even during high speed CNC work.
