Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2524-S has a 3/8” diameter 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It is made for high speed machining of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics , and even composite materials. It’s part of the industry leading 2500 Series Ferocious, which is basically meant to push material removal rates as hard as possible while still giving you really good surface finish and cutting performance that lasts.
Built from premium solid carbide, the 2524-S comes with CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry. That shape helps with chip evacuation, lowers cutting pressure a bit, and supports smoother machining especially when you run aggressive feed rates. On top of that there’s the ZrN (Zirconium Nitride) coating, it boosts wear resistance and also helps stop material from sticking where it shouldn’t. So it tends to work really well for aluminum and other non-ferrous uses, and overall it helps machinists get faster cycle times, higher chip loads, and better productivity without all the drama.
