Product Overview
The CGS Tool BN2009-S comes in a 1/4” diameter, 2 flute solid carbide ball end mill, made for fast machining of aluminum , other non ferrous metals, plastics, and composites too. It is part of the BN2000 Series Ferocious, and it pretty much gives you amazing material removal rates , smooth surface results, and steady performance even when the CNC milling job gets rough and demanding.
Built from high quality solid carbide, the BN2009-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, so chips can clear out more efficiently and the cutting forces stay lower. The ball end profile is precision ground, and that makes it a good fit for contouring , profiling, and 3D surface work. There’s also a ZrN coating included, which helps minimize built up edge, and extends tool life when you’re running aluminum and other non ferrous materials. Plus the upgraded geometry supports more aggressive feed rates, so machining efficiency goes up and things stay controlled.
