Product Overview

The CGS Tool BN2018-S comes in a 3/8” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide ball end mill. It's made for high speed machining in aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics and composites. It comes as part of the BN2000 Series, which is kind of described as Ferocious, and it gives you really fast material removal, nicer surface finishes, and it stays dependable even when you run demanding CNC milling jobs.
Made from good quality solid carbide, the BN2018-S has CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps with chip evacuation, and also keeps cutting forces more under control. The ball end itself is precision ground, so it’s a great fit for contouring, profiling and 3D surface machining. Plus the ZrN coating helps lower built up edge, and it tends to extend the tool life in aluminum and other non ferrous materials.
