Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2030.030-S is a 1/2” diameter , 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill made for fast speed machining of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. It’s part of the CR2000 Series, the Ferocious one, and the idea is to give strong cutting performance, better edge durability, and pretty sharp surface finishes for precision CNC milling tasks.
Built from premium solid carbide, the CR2030.030-S comes with CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, so chips clear out more efficiently and cutting forces stay lower. The corner radius layout helps with tool life too, because it reduces stress concentration right at the cutting edge, which means less chipping, and the surface finish quality stays more consistent during those high-speed cuts. Then there’s the ZrN coating , it boosts wear resistance, cuts down built-up edge formation, and helps extend tool life when you’re working in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.
