The CGS Tool CR2066.015-S is a 1" diameter 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill built for really high-performance machining on aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite stuff. As a part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious, this thing tends to deliver strong cutting efficiency, better edge durability, and a cleaner, superior surface finish too, especially on those demanding CNC milling tasks.
Made from top tier solid carbide, the CR2066.015-S uses CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry, sort of the idea is to help maximize chip evacuation, lower the cutting forces, and keep aggressive feed rates more stable. The .015" corner radius also helps strengthen the cutting edge, which in turn minimizes chipping and keeps tool life longer, all while still holding precise dimensional accuracy. And the ZrN coating adds wear resistance, cuts down built-up edge formation, and boosts overall machining performance, particularly when you’re cutting aluminum or other non-ferrous materials.
