Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-1001 has a 1” diameter, 4-flute, solid carbide Ball End mill, built for high performance machining in steels and different alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, so the idea is that you get this kind of serious strength, speed, and precision for both roughing and final finishing, depending on what you’re doing that day.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV142-1001 has a variable helix plus a variable index style geometry, and then there’s the ALTiN coating on top, which helps a lot with heat control and longer tool life when you run high RPM. Also, its free-cutting design helps with smoother surface results and better chip evacuation. While still reducing vibration and general wear, machinists can push the feeds and speeds further, without giving up accuracy.
