Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-2502 has a 1/4” diameter, 4-flute, solid carbide ball end mill made for high-performance machining when you’re working with steels and various alloys. It comes from the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, so it’s built to give you this solid kind of strength, speed, and precision for roughing as well as finishing, depending on what your setup needs.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV142-2502 has a variable helix along with a variable index shape, and yeah, it uses an ALTiN coating for top heat resistance and longer tool life when you run at high RPM. There’s also a free-cutting style to help with nicer surface finish, and chip evacuation too, while keeping vibration and wear under control. That means machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without losing accuracy.
