Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-1877 has a 3/16" diameter, 4-flute, solid carbide ball end mill made for high-performance cutting in steels and different alloys. It sits inside the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and it gives that unmatched combination of strength , speed and precision, for both roughing and finishing work, depending on what you’re doing.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, HV142-1877 has a variable helix and a variable index layout, plus that ALTiN coating for real heat resistance and longer tool life when RPMs are up. The free-cutting style helps with surface finishes and chip evacuation, while at the same time it keeps vibration down and wear minimized so machinists can raise feeds and speeds more boldly, without losing accuracy.
