The CGS Tool HV142-1002 has a 1” diameter, 4 flute, solid carbide ball end mill made for that high performance kind of machining in steels and alloys. It’s built under the Hi-Velocity, HV Series, so you get this strong mix of speed and precision too, for roughing, but also those finishing jobs.
It’s manufactured with premium micro grain carbide and the HV142-1002 has a variable helix plus a variable index kind of geometry. On top of that it wears an ALTiN coating, which helps with heat resistance and long tool life, especially when you’re running at high RPM. The free cutting design also helps with smoother surface finishing and better chip evacuation, while it keeps vibration down and wear minimal, so machinists can raise feeds and speeds farther along, without losing accuracy.
