Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-1252 has a 1/8” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill, made for high performance machining when you are working in steels and different alloys. It’s part of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series so it brings that extra oomph in strength, speed, and precision for roughing work, as well as the finishing part that people care about.
Built from top-tier micro-grain carbide, the HV142-1252 has a variable helix ,and a variable index kind of geometry, plus an ALTiN coating. That combination gives great heat resistance and extends tool life especially when you run at high RPM. The free-cutting style helps with better surface finish and stronger chip evacuation, at the same time it keeps vibration and wear down a bit, so machinists can push feeds and speeds farther, without losing accuracy.
