Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-1875 has a 3/16" diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill, built for serious high-performance machining in steels and alloys. It’s set up as part of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, so it brings this strong mix of speed and precision not just for roughing, but also finishing.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV142-1875 comes with a variable helix , and a variable index geometry too, plus an ALTiN coating that helps a lot with heat resistance and overall tool life especially when you run it at higher RPM. The free-cutting design helps create smoother surfaces and better chip evacuation. At the same time it helps minimize chatter, and reduces wear, so machinists can nudge the feeds and speeds higher without losing accuracy.
