HV142-2500 | 1/4" 4-Flute Ball End Mill | Hi-Velocity Series
The HV142-2500 from CGS Tool is a 1/4" solid carbide end mill, 4-flute, ball end profile. Built for steel, stainless, and hardened alloy work — roughing and finishing both.
Micro-grain carbide stock is used throughout. The flutes carry a variable helix and variable index grind, which breaks up harmonic vibration and keeps the cut stable at high RPM. ALTiN coating goes on top of that — it handles oxidation and thermal buildup well, so the edge holds longer on harder materials.
At 3/4" LOC and 2-1/2" OAL, the tool covers slotting, profiling, and finishing without a swap. Chip flow stays clean through the geometry.
