Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-2500 has a 1/4" diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill, made for high-performance machining in steels and other alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and you kinda get that unmatched strength, pace, and precision for both roughing and finishing work.
It is manufactured from premium micro-grain carbide, and the HV142-2500 has a variable helix along with a variable index setup plus an ALTiN coating for strong heat resistance and longer tool life, especially when running high RPM. The free-cutting minded design helps with better surface finishes and chip evacuation, while also cutting down vibration and wear, so machinists can nudge feeds and speeds further without losing accuracy .
