Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-5001 has a 1/2” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill, and it’s built for high performance cutting in steels plus other alloys. This one comes from the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, it’s meant to bring strength, faster speeds, and tight precision whether you’re doing roughing or finishing.
Made with premium micro-grain carbide, the HV142-5001 uses a variable helix, also a variable index style geometry, and on top of that it has an ALTiN coating. That combo helps with heat resistance and also extends tool life when the RPMs are high. The free-cutting layout helps with surface appearance and chip evacuation. It also reduces chatter and wear so machinists can crank up feeds and speeds more, without losing accuracy.
