Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV142-5025 has a 1/2” diameter 4 flute, solid carbide ball end mill, made to do high-performance machining in steels, as well as a bunch of alloys. It sits in the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and yeah it brings that kind of strength, speed and precision that tends to feel unmatched when you’re doing both roughing and finishing work.
Made from premium micro grain carbide, the HV142-5025 uses a variable helix plus a variable index geometry, and it also has an ALTiN coating for better heat resistance and longer tool life especially when you’re running at high RPM. The free cutting design helps with nicer surface finishes and chip evacuation, while it also reduces vibration and wear—so machinists can push the feeds and speeds farther, without losing accuracy or that fine control.
