Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV243-3125 has a 5/16” diameter, 4 flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill kinda made for high performance cuts in steels and other alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series and it’s more or less intended to bring that hard to match rigidity, velocity, and accuracy for finishing, especially when things get tricky.
Built out of premium micro-grain carbide, the HV243-3125 uses a variable helix, plus a variable index arrangement with an ALTiN coating, so you get strong heat resistance and improved tool life even when you’re pushing high RPM. The free cutting style helps with smoother surface results and chip evacuation too, it also helps reduce chatter, vibration and overall wear.
