Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV243-6250, has a 5/8" diameter 4 flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill made for high performance machining in steels and alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and yeah it’s built to give that sort of real strength, speed and precision, for roughing as well as finishing, even when the cut gets demanding.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV243-6250 has a variable helix along with a variable index style, plus an ALTiN coating that helps with heat resistance and keeps tool life steady at high RPM. It’s a free cutting approach which helps the surface finish, and the chip evacuation, reducing vibration and wear too, so machinists can run higher feeds and speeds , without losing accuracy.
