Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV143-3751 has a 3/8” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, and it’s built for high-performance machining when you’re working with steels and different alloys. It’s part of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and it aims for that same “strong, fast, precise” combo for both roughing and finishing tasks , even when things get demanding.
It’s manufactured from a premium micro-grain carbide blank , and the HV143-3751 has a variable helix plus a variable index profile. On top of that it uses an ALTiN coating, which helps with heat resistance and generally supports a longer tool life when you run high RPM. The geometry is free-cutting oriented , so you usually get better surface finishes and easier chip evacuation too, while at the same time vibration and wear are kept lower. That means machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without giving up too much accuracy , or at least not the way you’d expect with lesser designs.
