This is a 1/2" solid carbide corner radius end mill with 4 flutes, sitting in CGS Tool's Hi-Velocity (HV) Series — the line the shop reaches for when a job needs both aggressive roughing and a clean finish pass without swapping tools halfway through.
What sets this one apart is the combination underneath the coating. CGS grinds it from micro-grain carbide and adds a variable helix and variable index geometry, which basically means the flute spacing isn't identical all the way around. That irregularity is intentional — it breaks up harmonic vibration, so you get a quieter cut and less chatter marking on the finished surface. Add the ALTiN coating on top, and the tool holds its edge longer at higher RPM, even when the material starts fighting back. It's available in five corner radius options, from .015" up to .125", so you can dial in the exact profile a job calls for instead of settling for a close-enough fit.
